Can you believe that our Memorial Day holiday is already upon us? Along with attending parades to honor our veterans and celebrating family members who are graduating from high school and college, this weekend marks the “unofficial first weekend of Summer,” and its focus on outdoor activities.

Just a few of the opportunities this weekend include:

35th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival – Friday, Saturday & Sunday at Piedmont Park (Downtown Atlanta). Event features jazz legends and up-and-coming jazz artists. FREE http://atlantafestivals.com/

Decatur Arts Festival – Saturday & Sunday at Decatur Square. Event features music, art, comedy, dance, and more. http://decaturartsfestival.com/

Atlanta In 50 Objects – through December 31, at the Atlanta History Center. View the history of the region through artifacts from Atlanta’s personalities, businesses, and events, including Margaret Mitchell, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Coca-Cola, and more. http://atlantahistorycenter.com/ATLin50

The Georgia Renaissance Festival - through June 5 at the Georgia Renaissance Festival Fairgrounds in Fairburn. Celebrating its 31st season in Atlanta, the Festival features a “Rollicking Good Time” of food, music, jousting tournaments, folks dressed in Renaissance clothing, and more! https://www.garenfest.com/

Chihuly in the Garden – through October 30 at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Twenty-one of American glass artist Dale Chihuly are installed throughout the Gardens, in this breathtaking exhibit. http://atlantabg.org/visit/events/chihuly

Stone Mountain Park – the Park hosts its annual Memorial Day tribute to service men and women, with an extended fireworks finale and the 2016 Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision. Active and retired military personnel receive one free pass (with valid ID), and 30% off per person (immediate family members). https://www.stonemountainpark.com/events/Memorial-Day-Weekend

At Windsong, our homeowners have organized their own community events to celebrate the arrival of Summer. Potluck suppers at the Community Clubhouse – even a “Courtyard Crawl” at our sold-out Heron Pond community in Woodstock – take full advantage of the beautiful weather and outdoor living spaces to meet and mingle with neighbors and new friends.

Each Windsong community is designed to maximize enjoyment of outdoor living opportunities, with private courtyards, inviting front porches, wide sidewalks, and gathering spaces that invite conversation. Convenient locations offer ample opportunities to frequent entertainment venues and travel routes, to maximize enjoyment of the Active Adult Lifestyle.

Welcome to Windsong Where Life’s A Breeze!
