A Picture’s Worth…

Technolipad in homebuildingogy has revolutionized our lives and the way we do business.  With more than 75% of the U.S. population connected online, the internet is now the major connector for people and business (InternetWorldStats.com).  According to Forbes.com, in the first quarter of 2012, Apple(TM) shipped more than 15 million iPads(TM) to the marketplace.  At Windsong Properties, we use the internet and devices like the iPad(TM) to enhance the buying experience for our customers.

A picture is worth a thousand words.”  We’ve all heard that before; and we know it is true.  Advances in technology have made it easier than ever to share pictures with one another.  In the sales and marketing of a new home, Windsong Properties understands how to use technology to enhance the buyer experience for customers through pictures.

“Pictures really make the difference when it comes to building a home.” states Carrie Roeger, Marketing Manager for Windsong Properties.  “Often times, buyers are dealing with an empty shell of a home and it can be difficult to visualize the end result.  The internet and iPad(TM) technology have given us great tools to share photos and ideas with our customers.”  To do that, Windsong is currently using a Digital Design Center, hosted on an iPad(TM) in two of their communities.

“The Digital Design Center on an iPad(TM) gives our agents the ability to access photos of all of the design options we offer,” states Roeger.  “This tool helps agents begin the process of personalizing their home.  During the process, if ever there is a question about an option, or the buyer just wants to take a quick look at a selection they have made, the answer is literally at their fingertips.”

The Digital Design Center also includes an element on the internet, a Pinterest(TM) Board.  Pinterest.com, a relatively new social media site built around sharing photos and links is the perfect host for more than 400 design options.  Buyers and even prospects can connect to the Windsong boards to begin exploring their design options and “pinning” their dream selections to a dedicated board.  When they meet with a Design Center Consultant, they already have a good start on what they want.

“The feedback has been very positive from our buyers on the new Digital Design Center,” states Roeger.  “We see our buyers really starting to visualize their new home and enjoying the process.  The Pinterest(TM) site gives them a chance to explore and dream on their time, in the comfort of their own home. Not only that, but they can share their design with friends!”

Technology and the internet can be overwhelming, but at Windsong Properties, they are tools to make “Life a Breeze!”
