Gentle Yoga and Pilates Basics instructor Emily Berreth is starting two new sessions at OLLI – the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of Kennesaw State University. Designed for students 50 and over, the two classes will have a positive effect on every day living. Gentle Yoga focuses on utilizing familiar postures to increase fitness while Pilates Basics focuses on routines that help build flexibility and long, lean muscles. Both classes offer students the opportunity to work around whatever physical limitations they may have.
Aside from weight loss, Emily says there are many benefits to taking the class. “Number one, you are going to sleep better. Number two, you are going to find muscles that you didn’t know you had. And, number three, you are going to be able to do things better because of your core strength.”
Gentle Yoga runs January 25th through March 28 from 7-8:30 p.m. Pilates Basics will run from January 23rd through March 26th from 7-8:30pm. Each class is $119 – but if you enroll in both, you will receive a $15 discount on each class.
