WellStar Health System has created the “Good Life Club” for residents 50 and over in the North Atlanta area. The club, of which membership is only $12 per year, offers health classes, screenings, social events, travel and outings as well as discounts from local merchants and continuing education providers.
Active Adult and retiree members enjoy events such as a trip downtown to the Robert C Williams Paper Museum and a southern lunch at Pittypat’s Porch . The schedule for 2011 includes the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, A ride on the Sam Shortline Railway and even a Mardi Gras Party.
Working with Collette Vacations, the Good Life Club is planning trips to exotic destinations such as Beijing, Costa Rica and Australia as well as enjoying the beauty of our own country with trips to the California Wine Country, San Antonio and the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Members of the Good Life Club are on the go. With trips and classes and adventures booking up the calendar, they are the definition of “Active Adult.” For more information on the Good Life Club, visit their website at www.wellstar.org. Click on <Community Services> then <The Good Life Club>
