Retirement Living Atlanta – At the “Res”

I recently spoke with one of our homeowners at Windsong At Seven Hills in Dallas to find out just how busy life in the community can be.  I found myself exhausted by the plethora of activities.  Though the community is just a year old, there seems to be quite a few informal groups that have formed.

Brunch, dinner, and trivia night at local restaurants appears to be just as popular as get togethers in their beautiful ranch homes and courtyards. Dancing, movie outings, shopping, enjoying the pool, holiday entertainment and even a round of boccee ball make the list of organized activities.  Since the homeowners association provides for the landscaping and lawn care, there is free time to enjoy each other and the adventures of Atlanta and beyond.

“I can honestly say I never knew living in an Active Adult community could be so exhausting” states Kathleen, a Windsong homeowner.   “Our daughter claims we have a more active social life than she does!  Between shopping with our new friends, going to the pool, eating dinner out or at home together or just dropping by for an informal afternoon visit, we are kept busy.  Both Bernie and I truly feel that every day we spend in Windsong is like a vacation.  We refer to our home as “The Res”, short for The Resort!”
