Windsong Celebrates Another Successful Year

On Friday, November 12th, we took time to celebrate another successful year with our associates, trade partners, vendors, and friends.  Though the past few years have not been easy in the home building industry, we have made it and we are thankful.  “Taking time to recognize that we have succeeded through the help of our extended team is a great joy for us,” states Mark Carruth, partner of Windsong Properties.  “We can’t do it alone, and we know that.   We want to be sure they realize we know we can’t do it without them.”

Sunny skies and warm temperatures made the day perfect as more than 75 ‘team members’ joined us at the Somerset clubhouse in our Woodstock active retirement living community.  Conversations were buzzing about the continued success of Windsong over a barbecue lunch and sweet tea.  As is tradition for our anniversary parties – as we give thanks to our team, we ask our team to be thankful of their own success by donation to a local community organization.  “This year, we chose MUST Ministries to support as we feel the local need for a good meal is greater than ever before,” states Mark.  Cat Petty of MUST ministries, on hand to share the mission of MUST and collect the donations, stated that the requests for a meal are up more than 200 families this year over last.  “Based on the pace of the current requests, we expect over 1200 meal requests for this year,” she states.  “The need is greater this year than ever.  The economy has been tough on a lot of people in Cherokee County.”

We at Windsong are thankful to all who support our mission of creating quality livable communities for active adults and retirees.  We continue to strive to make “Life a Breeze” for all who come in contact with us.
